Spring Cleaning And Air Duct Cleaning

Air Duct Cleaning Along With Other Spring Cleaning Items

There’s something about the spring that makes you feel like getting rid of things and cleaning other things. Perhaps you were more cooped up during the winter months and now you want to open your house up to the fresh air. That can mean some cleaning on your part. We start anew in the spring and take on projects we tend to ignore other times of the year. Here are several things to consider doing this spring to get your house fresh, clean, and clutter-free.

Dust Those Hard To Reach Places

Sure, you dust the places people can see. But when spring comes, it’s time to get out the ladders and step stools and really go wild. That means the tops of the ceiling fans, the top shelf full of books, the tops of cabinets, and other places that are just too hard to reach on a regular basis. You’re going to start using those fans pretty soon and you don’t want them blowing dust down on you.

Deep Clean The Floors

You vacuum and sweep up your floors every now and then, but winter has been hard on them. As spring springs into action, it’s a good time to clean things more thoroughly. Wet mop areas that are dirty from the winter months and clean the carpets. You’d be surprised how much dirt builds up even between light cleanings.

Change Air Filters On The HVAC System

You’ll want to do this throughout the winter months as well, but as you are heading into summer and the cooling months of the year, you’ll need your air filter to be clean and ready. Otherwise, the air quality in your home will be much lower than it should be.

Air Duct Cleaning

Speaking of clean indoor air, spring is the perfect time of the year to get your air ducts cleaned out as well. They worked hard in the winter and now they’re taking a break in the nice spring weather before they gear up for the hot summer season. When your air ducts are dirty, your HVAC system has to work a lot harder and you use a lot more energy. Plus, it’s hard to imagine what you’re breathing in when you’re inside your home. Having clean air ducts gives you peace of mind that you are breathing clean air. Plus, you’ll save money on your energy bills and you’ll even have to dust and clean less!

Mulch Garden Beds

If you have a garden in your yard, now is the time of year to prepare it for the growing months. Gardens take a lot of work to prepare and if you want the soil to be just right to grow your plants and flowers, you have to get on it before you ever do the planting.

Look Into Air Duct Cleaning

As the birds start to sing the springtime songs, create a spring cleaning list that includes air duct cleaning. Everyone in your home will breathe easier if you do!
