HVAC Continues To Change

The Latest In Heating And Air Conditioning

With so many advances in technology in just the past decade or shorter, it is right to assume that these advances have made their way into the HVAC industry. Today, there are many new advances that make your heating and air conditioning work smarter for you. There are many different styles of advances that help HVAC in unique ways. Take a look at some such advancements.

Sensor Advances

One common type of advance in technology being utilized is sensors. A couple of groups have changed the traditional air conditioning to include sensors. One group of MIT engineers created a system of air conditioning that uses sensors to monitor the activity of a room. These sensors detect movement in a room and then turns on the air conditioning to provide comfort. It is not just any movement that tips these sensors off, however. These sensors are made to sense the movement of people. This prevents any waste of energy or efficiency. Another use of sensors is used in the ventilation of air. There are vents being made that are equipped with sensors that can be remotely controlled to adjust the ventilation levels. The creators of this product are currently working on improving the sensors so that they can monitor a home’s temperature and air. These are two of the advances that utilize the use of sensors to advance the heating and air conditioning.

Environmental Concerns

There are creators of this technology that are taking a different approach by focusing on the environmental aspect of heating and air conditioning. An Australian company is working on an air conditioning system that utilizes solar panels to power air conditioning. These air conditioning systems still use natural gas, for now, but by being supplemented by solar energy it greatly reduces the use of natural energy and the harm on the environment. Another company in California has gone the opposite way. They have used ice instead of heat from the sun. Their system uses ice to help cool buildings. This system does not last the whole day and therefore requires traditional air conditioning as well. However, just like the solar panel technology, this is yet another advance in the pursuit for a better environmental impact.

Smart Technology

Lastly, the most common type of technological advances in heating and air conditioning is the use of smart technology and smart devices. These advances work on benefiting the ease of operation. They are created to allow hands-free control of heating and air conditioning in most cases. Smart technology is becoming a bigger commodity in households across the world. By applying a way of controlling comfort through these smart devices, both the heating and air conditioning and the smart device markets have increased tremendously.

Continuous Heating And Air Conditioning Technological Growth

As you can see, technology continues to find its way into buildings through heating and air conditioning. It is expected that these products will keep advancing and improving. Some of the technology might not be very prevalent now, but in future years, it may be the new norm.
